My name is Jeff Wood, and I’ve been fishing as long as I can remember. I got my first fly rod at 12 years old, and with no one to teach me how to fly fish at that age; I used my rod to catch Largemouth Bass on poppers at a local farm pond. I always wanted to fish for trout, and life gave me that opportunity when I moved to New England for work several years ago. I picked up fly fishing again, and as a self-taught angler, it’s been a long journey. My goal with the blog is to explore the root of fly fishing in it’s simplest form, which is the dynamic between the trout and fly. The writing is as much for me as it is anyone else who stumbles upon the blog, and my hopes are that others glean some insight from my findings. Thanks for reading.
